About Aglucian
An Aglucian is someone who chooses to live without added sugar. Not out of fear, and not as a crash diet, but as a calm, long-term choice to eat food that hasn’t been sweetened for them.
Aglucian started as a simple idea: quitting added sugar is hard, the internet is full of hype, and most people just want clear, honest help. So that’s what we publish.
What we cover
- Getting started: how to cut back on added sugar, step by step.
- Cravings: why they happen and practical ways to manage them.
- Hidden sugar: reading labels and spotting sugar in “healthy” foods.
- Food and swaps: meals, snacks and drinks that make the change easier.
- The science, plainly explained: what research does and doesn’t say.
What we believe
- Added sugar, not all sugar. We focus on sugars added to food and drinks. Whole fruit, vegetables and plain dairy are not the enemy.
- No miracle claims. Cutting added sugar won’t cure disease. We describe what evidence supports and say clearly when it’s uncertain.
- Progress over perfection. Slipping up is normal. Shame doesn’t help anyone.
- Your doctor knows you; we don’t. Our articles are general information. Please read our medical disclaimer.
How our articles are made
Aglucian is run by a small editorial team. We use AI tools to help research and draft articles. Every article then goes through automated checks against our editorial policy: health claims must cite credible sources (such as the WHO, national health bodies and peer-reviewed research), and articles must not give individual medical advice. We correct errors quickly. If you spot one, contact us.
Aglucian does not sell supplements, programs or medical services, and we don’t accept payment to cover products.
